Fresno State received 15 National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, during its first-ever early signing period, instituted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association this season.
Fourteen of the fifteen players signed are from California. Eight of them are from the Central Valley, including five from the Fresno and Clovis area.
“We’re really excited. We were up early this morning, at 4 o’clock, anticipating people to sign,” said head coach Jeff Tedford from Hawai’i. “We also left some people back home to receive the letters (NLIs). Everyone we felt was going to sign did, and they all got it done early.”

“It’s nice to have this class pretty much finished, I don’t know that it’s completely finished, there may be one or two more still to come, but we’re happy about the guys we were able to sign and fired up they’re going to be a part of the future with us,” Tedford said.
