Former Fresno State wrestler Gary Quintana died after he reportedly had a heart attack last Thursday, according to The Fresno Bee.
The 45-year-old graduated from Fresno State in 1997. He won conference championships and qualified for the NCAA tournament twice as a Bulldog.
He graduated from Selma High in 1991 where he was a two-time state finalist and three-time medalist. He was inducted into the Selma Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
Quintana was the head wrestling coach at Granite Ridge Middle School in Fresno when he died, and he previously had coached at Clovis North, Clovis West and Bullard high schools.
