Maiko Tamagawa, counsel general of Japan in San Francisco, will present a lecture, “Fresno and Japan: Friends through History” on Friday.

The discussion will be on the historical relationship between Fresno and Japan, the role of Japanese-Americans in history and Japanese life and culture.

The event will be at noon to 1 p.m. in the Peters Business Building Room 191. A reception will be held after the talk and light appetizers will be served.
