The Mountain West Conference announced Thursday the 12 league teams’ nonconference slate and intra-league matchups for the 2016 season.
Fresno State opens the season Sept. 3 at Nebraska before coming home to host FCS opponent Sacramento State. The Bulldogs’ nonconference schedule is followed with a road trip to Toledo on Sept. 17 and concludes with a home game against Tulsa.
As far as the league slate goes, the ‘Dogs get Air Force Hawaii, San Diego State and San Jose State at home this year and travel to Colorado State, Nevada, UNLV and Utah State.
The 2016 schedule will take place over a course of 14 weeks and it concludes Dec. 3 with the Mountain West Football Championship Game, which is played at the home stadium of the highest-ranked team of the two divisional champions.
