City Council Districts 2, 4 and 6 are up for election this year, along with the Mayor’s position. Candidates Susan Good and Paul Caprioglio, running for District 4, spoke at the Satellite Student Union on April 24.
The forum, sponsored by ASI and the Fresno State Democrats Club, gave students the opportunity to ask the candidates about their positions on various issues.
Both candidates agreed on an open-door policy for public communication, going so far as to provide their home addresses. They both said they support high-speed rail in California, but Caprioglio emphasized that there should be more scrutiny towards the process.
The question-and-answer forum focused on the neighborhood west of the Fresno State campus that includes El Dorado Park, an area that has received a lot of help from students in its revitalization.
Primary Election Day is June 5.
