Fresno State will play Georgetown in NCAA Tournament

The Fresno State women’s basketball team will play Georgetown in the first round the NCAA Tournament.

The Bulldogs (28-5) are seeded No. 12 in the Des Moines Regional and will play the No. 5 Hoyas (22-8), Sunday at 9:20 a.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.

Fresno State will play in its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament after punching a ticket to the Big Dance in its 89-61 win over Louisiana Tech in the Western Athletic Conference tournament championship last weekend.

Despite it being the team’s fifth-straight time to the NCAA Tournament, it’s still looking for its first tournament win.
