Academy Award winning actress Geena Davis addressed approximately 2,600 attendees of the 2011 Central California Women’s Conference Tuesday, Sept. 13. The actress and women’s rights activist gave a keynote speech at the Fresno Convention Center with topics ranging from her role in “Thelma and Louise” to advice she gives future generations of women. Dozens of vendors, including businesses and local organizations, set up informational booths and provided free prizes and gifts throughout the day. According to Director of Development Jan Edwards, the event was a huge success and a 2012 conference is in development.
