From Nov. 15, 2010, through Dec. 31, 2010, the Walmart Foundation is encouraging people to visit Walmart’s Facebook page and help decide which cities should receive $100,000 in grants to fight hunger. Participants will choose from a list of 100 communities where hunger rates are the highest. Grand Rapids is coming up fast.
Fresno State is a terrific place; unfortunately, it’s in Fresno. Being number one on the hunger list isn’t a distinction that I’d want.
