Fresno State will hostÂa Centennial Photo Scanning Day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010. The community is invited to bring any campus-related pictures and become a part of history.
The event will take place on the Henry Madden Library’s second floor, Room 2108 (near the Starbucks café).
Photographs of Fresno State, staff, students, sports, buildings, events, etc. will be scanned by library staff and immediately posted online atÂhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/fresnostate100. The newly scanned images will also be added to the Centennial Photo Project database.
Launched in 2008, the Centennial Photo Project makes thousands of photographs in University Archives available to the public in support of Fresno State’s Centennial celebration during the 2010-11 academic year.
University Archives, in collaboration with the TILT (Technology Innovations for Learning and Teaching) Office, has created an online collection of more than 9,500 digitized photographs available for viewing and sharing.
