Paul George became the second Fresno State athlete in 2010 to make national headlines in a professional draft after being selected tenth overall by the Indiana Pacers.
The Pacers, who finished with a 32-50 record in 2009-10, picked up a much-needed scoring threat in George after finishing a mere 26th in offensive efficiency according to ESPN.com.
George concluded his Bulldog career averaging over 15 points-per-game and 6 rebounds-per-game.
The 20-year-old George was projected to be a late-lottery to mid-first round pick by many NBA analysts, but was selected sooner than many expected. He is now one of three ex-Fresno State Bulldogs in the NBA, along with Rafer Alston of the Miami Heat and Dominic McGuire of the Sacramento Kings.
