As expected, the Louisana Tech Lady Techsters have given the the ‘Dogs all they can handle at the midway point, with Fresno State leading by the slimmest of margins at 37-36.
The Bulldogs’ shooting woes carried over from yesterday’s lackluster performance, shooting just 37.1 percent from the floor. Hayley Munro is leading the way with 12 first-half points on four-of-nine shooting.
The Lady Techsters opened up the largest deficit the ‘Dogs have seen in the tournament thus far at 10 with four minutes remaining in the opening period of play. From there Fresno State raced out to a 7-0 run to close the gap and retook the lead on Marnique Arnold’s free throws with 0.3 to go.
