The Big Fresno Fair is back in town, which can only mean it̢۪s that time for hoof-pounding horse racing, fried food you can̢۪t afford but can̢۪t walk away from and that smell of manure you love to hate.
Fairgoers will be treated to a variety of free music, dancing and contests at the Table Mountain Rancheria Park, Stella Artois Blues & Brews, Pavilion Stage, Save Mart Wine Garden Budweiser Cantina and the main event at the horse racing ground floor.
The 126th annual Big Fresno Fair opens its gates Wednesday, Oct. 7, and will run through Sunday, Oct. 18.
Visitors can enjoy new carnival rides, ground entertainment and “Chicken Charlie’sâ€Â newest deep fried creation, the Zucchini Weenie. But don’t forget the old standbys — photo booths, bull riding and tossing away spare change on midway games.
There are also tons of ways students can save at the Fresno fair, including special discount days — $2 Tuesdays and $3 Wednesdays.
