All P.E.D.R.O.S. have to whine and cheat to get what they want in this world, it’s simple evolution. Now vampire evolution, that’s a whole different story there.

The issue isn’t a conflict of interest, just like it isn’t when Supreme Court Justices within the United States are appointed by Presidential nomination and then approved by congress. The issue is that PEDRO violated many election rules, and that little picture on the ground was just one. PEDRO cheated, and they should take what dignity they have left and let it go. Channel that “protestor” energy to get this valley some water in the name of Caesar Chavez!

You really think Lauren and Jessica were thinking that far ahead back then and came up with some elaborate plan to sabotage a future slate running against them months/years after the fact? You’ve got to be kidding me.
I agree with Blunder.

the currently new elected president for ASI was previously a senator, the current VP of finace was also previously a senator. THis means that if there is a possibility that the current Student Court or any of its justices are the same from the time Learen or Jessica were senators, there can be conflict of interest. The same goes for walberg, he was a senator too. This means that the arguement made of conflict of interest does have some validity.

So, didn’t Graham Wahlberg appoint the Student Court, and didn’t they get confirmed by the Senate? Jessica and Lauren are not the ASI President and do not vote on the Senate, so where’s that conflict?

Actually LOCO you seem to have no brains
according to the ASI bylaws ARTICLE V SECTION 2.1 ” Justices of the Student Court shall be recommneded by the ASSOCIATED STUDENTS President, approved by a majority of the perseonnel committee and then confirmed by a majority vote of the senate”
SECTION 2.2 also states that ” THE PRESIDENT of ASSOCSIATED STUDENTS shall recommend each student for the respective positions of CHIEF JUSTICE, VICE CHIEF JUSTICE and ASSOCIATE CHIEF JUSTICE…
You have no brains…the candidates that were disqualified are saying just that…THERE IS CONFLICT OF INTEREST with student court and the ASI officers. Now if that does not seem to be a DIRECT CONNECTION, then maybe i read the wrong ASI bylaws.

If any of you had any brains, you’d no that the Student court has NO CONNECTION to ASI, because there would be a conflict of interest. Thank god the people who designed the system are smarter than you.

Actually there are a number of voters, including myself, that feel our votes have been disenfranchised, we voted for P.E.D.R.O, 7 of them won their positions yet were denied of the their positions. In other words, OUR VOTED DIDN’T COUNT, OUR VOICES HAVE NOT BEEN HEARD. And all this due to false allegations, where hearings immediately took place, no notifications were given to P.E.D.R.O. they were denied the chance to defend themselves. ASI Court broke the bylaws, hearing notifications have to be placed 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE of such hearing, yet that was not the case. JESSICA SWEETEN and LAUREN JOHNSON, as ASI execs and leaders should not only protect our votes and make sure they count, but should hold the Student Court liable for their mistakes and violations against the bylaws, yet they do nothing because it obviously would not work in their favor. Those are the leaders you voted for, they don’t protect your votes, nor make justice.

The photos on the ground where not the only incident with PEDRO. Also, the members of the student court would recuse themselves if there was a conflict of interest. Again, PEDRO broke the rules, they got disqualified, plain and simple. No one but the PEDRO members think its a set-up.

The photos were taken by Cole Rojewski, the campaign manager for Students Who Deserve More (i.e. Jessica Sweeten, Lauren Johnson and Alex Andreotti). He had a class with John Thompson, and claims that as they were leaving class, John was handing the handbills to his friends as he walked along the sidewalk within 100 feet of the polling booth. However, the sidewalk is not within 100 feet of a polling booth.

the photos smell obviously of a setup. what i as a student voter would like to know is who took those pics and how they are connected to the campaign. a paper on the ground? Did the pictures get taken anonymously? or did collegian take those photos? the underying question is WHO took the photos?

Although the handbill in the photo is conveniently positioned exactly in line with the polling booth, it only proves PEDRO innocent. The distance measured from the handbill to the polling booth was actually 133 feet. Maybe the members of Students Who Deserve More should have checked that out before they submitted this “evidence.” Or better yet, perhaps the student court?

Actually it sounds more as if the Senators at large won from some pictures on the ground. Either way Jessica and Lauren should step in as supposed student leaders and represent those students in the pedro group but they wont, they were running against each other.
