I agree, feathers shouldnt be a QB. But, that is why he choose fresno state, because hill allowed him to stay at the quarterback position. He got offered cornerback, widereciever positions but didnt want it. I think he should consider his skill set and take what he can get. Some times you got to know your limit and coach hill needs to just tell him how it is.

Lo-J!!!
Enjoyed the Spring scrimmage. Really enjoyed the format. I really hope there are some big defensive down-line men showing up in August. I realize defense was only allowed to blitz 4 times during the scrimmage but if you keep it “real”–defense will need some help. I was also disappointed in the lack of corner support and lack of hard tackling.
The answer to your trivia question, I think, is Logan Mankins, an offensive guard, drafted by the New England Patriots in 2005 –32nd pick in the first round.
The QB situation for the “Dogs” is real simple. Feathers’ is NOT a QB. Put him in the backfield, use him as a wide receiver, kick off and punt return specialist. He can spell the starters in the backfield just like Hill did last year. He needs those reps anyway because the starting backfield will graduate in 2010. Colburn is very mobile with a great arm while Carr is a real decent back-up.

In your podcast, you mentioned Fresno State’s softball tourney this week and the fact Cal will be among the opponents. Then, you mentioned that Cal and Fresno State have one opponent in common this season (North Carolina). You proceeded to talk about how both Cal and the Bulldogs LOST to North Carolina, so it’s hard to get an idea about who might win this week’s game.
However, Fresno State WON against North Carolina. The Bulldogs won 4-2 with freshman Mackenzie Oakes going the distance and picking up the victory, even though North Carolina sent an All-American pitcher against the ‘Dogs.
