Anastasia Petukhova and Renata Kucerkova claimed the No. 1 spot among women’s NCAA Division I doubles teams, according to rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association today.
Petukhova and Kucerkova are on a 16-game winning streak, knocking out 11 ranked teams including Notre Dame, the former leader. The pair started the season in the ninth ranking and held second place since Jan. 6.
They also won the ITA Indoor Doubles Championship, where they brought in their most recent win against the West Virginia Yellow Jackets.
The top duo in the nation will have their next match on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m, at home against the Saint Mary’s Gaels.
