Thank you for your comment. “Best” is correct, although “beat” would carry the same meaning. “Best” is often used in this sort of scenario to mean “get the best of.”

“Dogs best Huskies in season opener” is this a typo? Is it supposed to be “Dogs BEAT Huskies in season opener,” just though I would point it out.

why’d you have to show the clip of the Washington catcher missing the foul pop? A blunder of course, but these guys aren’t paid athletes—–let the mistakes go and don’t focus on errors, bloopers, or lowlights of collegiate athletics—–the snippy comment about the face full of red stiches is not amusing—–this guy is a student athlete and doesn’t receive a paycheck———other than that, GO Bulldogs.
