The University Lecture Series will host actor and political activist Ben Stein on Thursday, Mar. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union.
Ben Stein is perhaps best known for his work in the entertainment industry as an actor in movies, TV and commercials.
His role of the boring teacher in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Offâ€Â was recently ranked as one of the fifty most famous scenes in American film. In 1997, Stein was given his own game show by Comedy Central titled, “Win Ben Stein’s Moneyâ€Â.
In 1973 and 1974, he was a speechwriter and lawyer for Richard Nixon at The White House and then for Gerald Ford. Stein has taught a variety of courses including the political and social content of mass culture, political and civic rights under the Constitution, libel law and securities law and ethical issues.
There are a limited number of tickets left. Tickets are $5 for Fresno State students, $10 for faculty and staff now or $12 at the door, and $15 for general admission or $17 at the door.
