The Fresno State Bulldogs fell to 1-1 early Tuesday morning with a 99-85 loss at St. Mary̢۪s.
The game was nationally televised on ESPN and started at 11 p.m. on Monday.
The Bulldogs committed 19 turnovers in the game and were outrebounded 43-34.
A bright spot for Fresno State was the performance of true freshman forward Paul George.
He led the Bulldogs with 25 points and 10 rebounds — the first double-double of his young career.
George also made the highlight reel with a one-handed dunk over the Gaels̢۪ Mickey McConnell.
Freshman Mychal Ladd added 13 points for the Bulldogs, who will be back in action this Saturday at San Diego State.
The Bulldogs feature eight newcomers this year and only one senior — Dwight O’Neil.
The senior had 12 points against St. Mary̢۪s and led the Bulldogs with nine assists.
Arizona State transfer, Sylvester Seay, also scored 12 points for the ̢۪Dogs and nabbed eight boards.
