It’s that time of year again — time to scream and cringe at the sights and sounds of haunted houses, hospitals and forests.
Fresno county is home to several haunted attractions that provide all the screams one could ask for.
From the Haunted Hay Ride at Hobbs Grove to the Haunted Asylum of Fright Night Scream Park, there is a level of terror suitable for most.
Valley residents will find the scariest haunted attractions in Clovis and Sanger.
These Halloween attractions provide an opportunity to do something out of the norm, whether it is on a date or just a night out with friends.
For about the same cost of going to a movie, throughout October, these haunted attractions are offered for the excitement and thrill of being spooked.
Fresno State students can take a short trip east on Shaw Avenue, no more than a 10-minute drive from campus, and experience two of the most popular haunted attractions in the Fresno and Clovis area.
The notorious haunted mansion, Wolfe Manor, in Clovis (just south of Shaw on Clovis Avenue) is believed to be truly haunted.
Wolfe Manor has become a destination for paranormal investigators and even appeared on Sci-Fi Channel’s “Ghost Hunters.â€Â To tour the mansion, an appointment must be made. The cost is $20 per person, and children are not allowed.
Fright Night Scream Park is another attraction just one block south of Shaw, on Clovis Avenue, and claims to be “the scariest haunted house in the Fresno and Clovis area.â€Â
Here, there is more than 20,000 square feet of terror among four attractions within Scream Park. There is a Haunted Asylum, Desecration, Necropolis and 3D Psychosis, at $9 per attraction or $28 for all four.
Here, it is recommended children under 12 do not attend.
For a less frightening place to go with the family or younger ones, Hobb̢۪s Grove gives options for entertaining children and mellow haunted hayrides.
Sanger is home to the popular and frightening Hobb̢۪s Grove, not too far south on Highway 99.
Spread over 36 acres, the grounds include a haunted forest, haunted house and haunted hayride, with plenty to provide a scare.
Hobb̢۪s Grove also offers full concessions, fire pits and entertainment for all ages. The haunted attractions here range from $10-$12.50 or $32.50 for all three.
For the best of the haunted attractions, these are the places popular in the Valley.
To enjoy exciting thrills can with family and friends, both Clovis locations do the job.

Agree with G I Joe, probably I would choose a Sexy Cleopatra costume piece with Dracula fangs! That should spice up the atmosphere.

Thanks for the information. I’d like to appear in those in a ninja suit, possible like Snake Eyes from GI Joe, carry a samurai sword tinkled with blood traces. That would be fun!

You guys have got to be kidding. There were people running screaming to their cars before they even got in the door, the line entertainment was that good! This attraction was the best I’ve ever seen. Dollar Store props? It doesn’t sound quite right you’d pay that much money and leave after two rooms – ??? What’s the point of writing such a bad review of something that really was GREAT. The makeup, sets, actors, action – everthing. It was GREAT.

Yeah Haunted Fresno is way better. Go to HauntedFresno.com if you wanna find out where it is. Really scary…definitely recommend you guys go to it! Fright Night is alright…some of you might be disappointed. Anyways I’ve never been to Wolfe Manor…kinda don’t want to since it really is haunted…don’t want no ghost following me home!

On Friday a group from work about 15 of us went to both Haunted Fresno in Downtown and Fright Night and the BIG winner is Haunted Fresno!!!
Like this blog says Haunted Fresno has got to be the best haunted house ever, we would of paid twice the price for that kind of scare. Everything was in place from the enterance of the main temple to the old woman shooting my face off at the end! WOW, it was awesome!
When we got to Fright Night we were all pumped up but when we got inside all that went away, nothing ws scary it looked like all their porps were bought at a Dollar store. We even had a actor brake out of character to talk to us, not cool. We only staid for the first 2 rooms it was that much of a joke.
