Tidbit: Quarterback Tim Tebow didn̢۪t have to rush for a touchdown for the first time since 2006. Four different running backs scored for the Gators.

Tidbit: The win was nice, but running back Chris “Beanieâ€Â Wells suffered an injury to his toe that will sideline him this week.

Next Opponent: Cincinnati (Sept. 6)
Tidbit: The Sooners were up 50-0 at halftime, which made this a no-contest. They should be challenged a little more by the Bearcats this weekend.

Last Week: Beat No. 20 Illinois, 52-42, in St. Louis.
Next Opponent: Southeast Missouri State (Sept. 6)
Tidbit: While Missouri̢۪s high-powered offense was able to put up 52 points led by quarterback Chase Daniel̢۪s 323 yards and three touchdowns, the defense gave up 451 yards and 5 touchdowns to Illinois quarterback Juice Williams. Missouri will face much better teams down the road and must sure up their defense to compete.
No. 7 West Virginia Mountaineers (1-0)
Last Week: Beat Villanova, 48-21, in Morgantown.
Next Opponent: East Carolina (Sept. 6)
Tidbit: Heisman hopeful Pat White led the Mountaineers at quarterback with five touchdowns through the air and added 63 yards on the ground. This week̢۪s game against East Carolina should be a true test; the Pirates are fresh off an upset of West Virginia.
No. 8 LSU Tigers (1-0)
Last Week: Beat Appalachian State, 41-13, in Baton Rouge.
Next Opponent: North Texas (Sept. 13)
Tidbit: Last week̢۪s matchup against Appalachian State was a game between Division 1 and Division 1-AA national champions, but the Tigers proved their dominance over the Mountaineers. They will have to wait until September 13 to get on the field again; their September 6 game against Troy has been postponed because of Hurricane Gustav.
No. 9 Auburn Tigers (1-0)
Last Week: Beat Louisiana-Monroe, 34-0, in Auburn.
Next Opponent: Southern Mississippi (Sept. 6)
Tidbit: In week one, Auburn̢۪s running back by committee compiled 321 yards of rushing against Louisiana-Monroe, led by Ben Tate̢۪s 115 yards. Both sides of the ball looked strong for the Tigers, but making it in the SEC is no easy task.
No. 10 Wisconsin Badgers (1-0)
Last Week: Beat Akron, 38-17, in Madison.
Next Opponent: Marshall (Sept. 6)
Tidbit: Wisconsin tailback P.J. Hill was the star of the Badgers season opener racking up 210 yards and 2 touchdowns. With Ohio State tailback Chris Wells injured, Wisconsin should compete for the Big Ten title.
