Softball
As the Bulldogs take on San Jose State this weekend, freshman pitcher Morgan Melloh takes the mound with her fourth Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Pitcher of the Week honor.
This honor comes after her performances against UC Santa Barbara and Louisiana Tech last week.
She is 28-5 overall.
In the second game against UCSB, Melloh struck out 12 and allowed four runs in the 9-5 win. In the second game against Loiuisiana Tech, she allowed three hits and struck out 10 in the 9-0 win.
She has 301 strikeouts total and is the sixth Bulldog in history to have 300 strikeouts in a season.
Women̢۪s Tennis
This weekend will mark the last home matches for the No. 15 Bulldogs before the WAC championships in Las Cruces.
The first match is at 1:30 p.m. today.
Long Beach State will come to the Wathen Tennis Center today and Saturday will be a doubleheader against Cal Poly and Pacific.
Juniors Melanie Gloria and Tinesta Rowe, who were ranked No. 1 for five weeks this season, moved to No. 3 in the doubles rankings. The duo has a record of 26-8 overall and 14-6 dual.
The Bulldogs were ranked No. 15, announced Tuesday, which gives the Bulldogs a strong chance of hosting the NCAA Regional in May.
Men̢۪s Tennis
The Bulldogs will host Pacific on Sunday in the last home match of the season.
Coach Jay Udwadia will play an exhibition match with a surprise guest in between the doubles and singles matches.
Fresno State is 14-8 overall and 18-0 against the Tigers.
Fresno State also has a current 12-1 record at home.
The match starts at 1 p.m.
Volleyball
The Fresno State volleyball team will travel to Sacramento this weekend to play in the Sacramento Spring Tournament.
The Bulldogs, under the leadership of new coach Lauren Netherby-Sewell, will play four matches beginning Saturday.
There will be two games played up to 25 points per match.
The opponents include Sacramento State, San Jose State, UC Davis and Sonoma State.
This will be the only competition in the spring for the Bulldogs.
