The Bulldogs head to San Jose this weekend after a three-game series at Louisiana Tech last weekend.

Freshman pitcher Morgan Melloh earned her 300th strikeout — just the sixth Bulldog to do so in a single season.
Melloh̢۪s overall record is 28-5 with a 1.09 ERA.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches̢۪ Poll, are 39-8 overall and 5-3 in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play. The No. 12 ranking is for the second-straight week in the poll. The Bulldogs moved up a spot in the NFCA poll to No. 12 this week and tied the highest ranking since the 2004 season.
The first matchup between the two schools was in 1986 and Fresno State has won the last four meetings.
The Bulldogs lead the series with the Spartans, 68-6.
San Jose currently has a 3-6 standing in WAC play.
In non-conference play, San Jose played a doubleheader against UC Davis on Wednesday and snapped a five-game losing streak.
In the victories, the Spartans scored 12 total runs, giving up just two.
In conference play, San Jose State traveled to No. 20 Hawaii last weekend where the Rainbow Wahine swept the Spartans in three games. The Spartans gave up a total 13 runs in the loss.
San Jose State is led by Kayla Hayes, who went 3-for-3 in the 10-1 win over the Aggies. The sophomore has a .350 average and two home runs.
In the circle, junior Danna Mauer leads the team with a 3.31 ERA and a 12-8 record.
Mauer has earned a top spot in the circle with 142 strikeouts and has pitched 137.1 innings this season.
The Bulldogs went 4-1 last week with a sweep over UC Santa Barbara and the games at Louisiana Tech.
Fresno State is looking to both Haley Perkins and Haley Gilleland to lead the ̢۪Dogs.
Perkins is batting .390 with 17 RBIs in 141 at bats. Gilleland has a .383 average and two home runs in 154 at-bats.
The Bulldogs are currently third in WAC play behind Hawaii and Nevada, while the Spartans are in sixth.
First pitch is set for 3 p.m. today. The doubleheader on Saturday will begin at noon.
