If I’m not mistaken, and my history serves me correct, the epoch̢۪s (Pop-culture) philosophical explanations in the aesthetics defined pop-culture as a visual and temporal depiction of the various immoralities in during the era.
Times have changed; genome failure has bequeathed a new lease on life and new philosophies.
I remember the 80’s so well. It’s been fright night to have this old knowledge torn out to be replaced with better knowledge. Death was the only inevitable (obviously), but the possibility of living beyond the expected years seemed unlikely – so what the hell. Certain subcultures present the same scenario…it was like I had digressed in their presence. Call me crazy.
I was content with that, nevertheless. The seeds were buried deep, now I beg the question; “What’s in store for the future? I am glad I returned to college.
Since the 80’s we have made some wonderful advances in the technologies, religion, philosophy, politics, neurology, psychology, sociology (the sciences – so much contradiction) and economics.
All in which contributes to human development.
I look forward to visiting this section of the Collegian – when time permits.
I got one for Sarah Peterson. It came to mind when I read her article. I couldn’t find her blog spot. I was about 7 when this one came out, but I remember my baby-sitter.
BILLY IDOL LYRICS (1983)
“White Wedding”
Hey little sister what have you done?
Hey little sister who’s the only one?
Hey little sister who’s your superman?
Hey little sister who’s the one you want?
Hey little sister shot gun!
It’s a nice day to start again.
It’s a nice day for a white wedding.
It’s a nice day to start again.
Hey little sister who is it you’re with?
Hey little sister what’s your vice and wish?
Hey little sister shot gun (oh yeah)
Hey little sister who’s your superman?
Hey little sister shot gun!
It’s a nice day to start again (come on)
It’s a nice day for a white wedding
It’s a nice day to start again.
(Pick it up)
Take me back home
Hey little sister what have you done?
Hey little sister who’s the only one?
I’ve been away for so long (so long)
I’ve been away for so long (so long)
I let you go for so long
It’s a nice day to start again (come on)
It’s a nice day for a white wedding
It’s a nice day to start again.
There is nothin’ fair in this world
There is nothin’ safe in this world
And there’s nothin’ sure in this world
And there’s nothin’ pure in this world
Look for something left in this world
Start again
Come on
It’s a nice day for a white wedding
It’s a nice day to start again.
It’s a nice day to start again.
It’s a nice day to start again
