After posting an eight-win season and securing a bowl berth, Fresno State football coach Pat Hill honored the team at the annual awards banquet Sunday afternoon at the New Exhibit Hall in downtown Fresno. Nearly 500 fans attended the event.
Eleven awards were handed out to various players for their performance during the season, including Most Valuable Player, which went to senior running back Clifton Smith.
Senior defensive lineman Tyler Clutts (in the photo below, sitting on the right), looks at senior defensive tackle Charles Tolbert (sitting on the left) during the season highlights video. Clutts was named the Most Valuable Defensive Lineman.

Offensive Player of the Year; Zak Hill,Dick Duncan Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year; Ryan Wendell, Most Valuable Offensive Lineman; Clifton Smith, Most Valuable Offensive Back; A.J. Jefferson, Special Teams Player of the Year; Kyle Zimmerman, Don Duncan Over Achiever; and Tyler Clutts, Most Inspirational Player.
