Thumbs up to the women’s soccer team for beating San Jose State on Friday. With 12 minutes remaining in the first half, the lights went out and stayed out — for an hour and 50 minutes. The team came back to score when the lights came back on, thanks to a header by defender Amanda Reyes.

Thumbs down to the noisy fans at the southwest corner of the bottom floor of the student union. So much for trying to study outdoors.

Thumbs up to midterms! We love the opportunity to prove to our professors that their classes will make a long-term impact on our lives at 8 a.m. on a Monday! Hurrah!
