The Bulldogs swept the New Mexico State Aggies in a three-game series this weekend. Fresno State took Friday 7-0 and Saturday 14-3 and 9-1.
In game one, pitcher Clayton Allison helped the Bulldogs with their first shut out of the season, allowing only five hits in seven innings. On the offense, Steve Susdorf started off the second inning with a single up the middle. Susdorf also brought in Loren Storey and Erik Wetzel in the third.
For day two of the match up, Fresno State freshman Tanner Scheppers continued the power pitching by striking out a career-high 11 batters. Scheppers allowed one run in five hits.
Fresno State will be on the road this week as it takes on the Santa Clara Broncos on Tuesday.
