The seventh practice of the spring season for the Fresno State football team saw a level of intensity that had yet to be reached. At one point of the practice — which was just the second practice of the season in full pads — multiple fights broke out between offensive and defensive players. The Bulldogs’ practice consisted largely of “compete zone plays, a term coined by Fresno State head coach Pat Hill describing the portion of the field from the 25-yard line to the goal line. Fresno State defenders Ben Jacobs (No. 54), Chris Lewis (No. 27) and Tyler Clutts (No. 11) compete in a high-intensity drill against offensive players Cameron Harris (No. 49), Raynard Camp (No. 48) and others.
