play professional softball and will be joined by her sister Courtney
on the New York/New Jersey Juggernaut

Amanda Scott is driven by passion and love to play softball.
But it’s not passion or love for the sport that drives
her to pursue a professional career— it’s the passion
to take the field alongside her sister and the love that the two
of them share. Scott, a former four-time NCAA first-team All-American
pitcher at Fresno State, recently signed a contract to play with
the New
York/New Jersey Juggernaut—one of the eight teams in the
new National Pro Fastpitch league.More>>

There’s more on the line than just a championship shirt for
some intramural basketball participants. For many, reaching and winning
the championship game is an accomplishment that brings pride and
a year’s worth of bragging rights. The Freeballers’ E.J.
Edmerson, a junior computer science major, knew this before taking
his team to the Division I championship
game, which Team 2 won 49-40 over the Freeballers.More>>

Former Fresno State standout Amanda Scott signed
a professional softball contract with the New York/New Jersey Juggernaut,
which begins spring training for the new National Pro Fastpitch
league on May 17. Scott, a four-time first-team All-American, led
the Bulldogs to a national championship in 1998.

The Fresno State football team concludes three weeks of practice
with the annual Spring Game today at 4:30 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.
The Bulldogs return 18 starters from a team that was 9-5 last season.
The Bulldogs’ season ended with a 17-9 Silicon Valley Football
