The students in prof. Paul Ogden’s Deaf Culture class watch Ogden sign while hearing his words from the interpreter who voices for him. The interpreter sits at the front of the class, a device for communication between the deaf teacher and the hearing students. By the time the beginning students reach the senior level in deaf studies, no interpreter will be provided.More>>

“Jhankar- 2004,” an Indian cultural event signifying the melody and beats of Indian music and dance, lost some of its rhythm because of technical difficulties Saturday. The event, which featured extravagant costumes, Indian songs and dances, started almost an hour late at the Satellite Student Union.More>>
