AS approves five members to its Elections Committee

Associated Students representatives approved five members for the 2004 AS Elections Commission Thursday night. Juniors Debahuti Basu and Jennifer Belli join the Commission as voting members, while sophomore Todd Ricketts and freshman Jamie Buckner are a part of the non-voting Elections Committee.More>>

Health advocates propose $2 smoking tax increase

Smokers could be facing a $2-per-pack tax increase as part of a plan endorsed by the former surgeon general and other health advocates to reduce smoking by the end of this year. According to the ex-surgeon general, the tax could drive five million smokers to quit.More>>
