I am saddened to confirm Ted Cruz has suspended his campaign.
We fought long and hard for liberty, and while it seems now that we lost, we really won. We have successfully ignited a revolutionary return to our founding principles. Hundreds of thousands of people around the United States joined our movement and actively volunteered; many supporters didn’t even stop volunteering after their state had finished voting in the primary – many of my millennial friends flew out several weekends (weekends only because most are full-time, job-holding college students) to engage with the people of an upcoming primary state.
Our group was dedicated to fighting not just for Ted Cruz, but ultimately for the restoration of liberty in the United States and this is why we can say that we indeed have won. Barry Goldwater paved the way for Ronald Reagan – this is what has happened to us. The revolution has only begun.
Donald Trump is an arrogant, cruel man and I can not see myself voting for him. He and his supporters have attacked Ted Cruz and the campaign vehemently not with substantive attack but with personal attack. He has attacked Ted Cruz’s wife, Ted Cruz’s vice-president pick, and Ted Cruz’s father. Donald Trump is not a conservative, he is a “narcissist,” a “serial philanderer” and a “pathological liar” as Senator Cruz has stated. “Morality does not exist for him.”
On the democratic side, the front-runner Hillary Clinton is under review by the FBI for sharing classified documents with foreign nations. She allowed the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and then remarked “what difference does it make?” when questioned regarding the murders of those citizens. She is known among political scientists around the United States as one of the worst Secretaries of State in our nation’s history.
With these two front-runners, America surely is facing a tough next four years. I would urge voters to vote their conscience this election. We often complain about the two-party system but we never do anything about it.
We the people have no loyalty to a party in the election – please vote your conscience. Look at all of the party options, and if you do not agree with any of them, write-in someone you can truly believe in – someone you can trust.
If you are still interested in joining our fight for liberty, our Fresno State team is still on the battlefield. We are forming a permanent constitutionalist (strict constructionist) non-party-affiliated group on campus. email foliapatriot@mail.fresnostate.edu to enlist in the battle.
We may have been fighting for Ted Cruz, but in reality we have been fighting for every American citizen. We fight for freedom.
